2023: A TIME OF UNCERTAINTY THAT REQUIRES NEW SKILLS AND MINDSET
Founders and leaders are facing uncertainty in high growth companies at the end of 2022 as they plan, design and implement new challenges to manage and engage their teams effectively. Struggling with managing the complexity of their roles, leaders are faced with increasing focus on designing an environment for teams to flourish, learn, and grow. Forbes (11/15/2022) here cited the challenge for leaders to create and “instill cultures of continuous learning” as a top priority.
Beginning January, 2023, the 6 month Virtual Leadership Group Coaching Cohort for Leading in an Uncertain Economy, will give 10 leaders the tools and frameworks to effectively navigate this volatility and uncertainty as well as develop their capacity to lead more effectively and compassionately. Over the past eight years, I have worked with founders and senior leaders in Fintech, Big Tech (Google, Microsoft, Salesforce), EdTech and AI/ML startups to hone their leadership vision, skills and create impact with their teams. Start date: Early January, 2023 (time/date to be determined).
My Own Experience as a Founder in a Volatile, Uncertain World.
I closed the first round of financing in my first start-up on September 1, 2001. Eleven days later the world erupted on 9/11. I “went it alone” for six years and learned lessons that I wanted to pass on to other leaders. I am deeply passionate about founders and leaders having the support they need in the current market and the challenges they face.
Leading Your Team In Times of Uncertainty Course will provide you:
Awareness of your blindspots via feedback that you wouldn't get anywhere else
A clearer understanding of how your gaps impact the teams you lead and how to shift into new behavior
Upleveling your skills in a group setting with other founders and leaders
Connection and belonging with other founders and senior leaders grappling with similar issues in their role and with the teams they lead
Growth through reflection, inquiry, and coaching from the group
New learning frameworks you can utilize with your leadership team or others you lead
Space to experiment with new behaviors — expanding your leadership skills that you can apply in your day-to-day interactions.
What Founders and Leaders I Work With Say:
Jimmy McDermott: Forbes 30 Under 30, Co-Founder, Transeo
When I began working with Glenn, I was looking for a coach who would push me to see my leadership style differently and to improve continually. I didn't know I would get a coach who gave me all that and also went above and beyond to build a toolkit for deploying new ways of thinking in unknown or challenging situations. It's a toolkit that we are constantly refining together and continually being utilized. Without it and his coaching, I fear I would be a less effective manager and founder.
I'm grateful that my learnings from Glenn have helped me become a more intentional and focused leader while also transforming how I look at business and building a company. I highly recommend Glenn to anyone looking to learn more about themselves to be a better leader, executive, or founder.
Ramya Gibb: Senior Director of Product, Chime
Glenn was my executive coach during a time when my team/company was going through a period of a lot of change. He was instrumental in helping me understand my leadership style, and leverage it to help my team and me navigate change. Glenn has a way of getting you to understand the why behind your actions and decisions as a leader - his approach helped me recognize and change decades held beliefs and ways of doing things. He has helped me become a significantly better communicator, leader and person - I strongly recommend him as a coach - he is fantastic!

Founders and senior leaders at early-stage startups/growth stage companies leading high growth teams who have been personally vetted to ensure active participation and commitment.
I am already so busy, why should I join this group?
Whether you know it or not, you are operating with longstanding patterns that hinder your ability to lead. Not only that, but your team is already inheriting those unconscious patterns, which creates massive bottlenecks to your startup's success. Consider the costs of conflict avoidance, sloppy feedback, and poor emotional regulation. Or micromanagement, burnout culture, and late night Slack emergencies. Whatever is showing up in the company culture, you have a major hand in that. The good news is once you get really familiar with these blindspots, you can create new ways to lead, and use the tools I have used with other leaders to engage differently with your team. And that's exactly what this group is designed to help you do.
Tell me about the ROI
Simply put, you will avoid delaying difficult conversations, resolve conflict more quickly, iterate with your team more quickly, build transparency and trust more effectively. People will stop “hiding” behind their perceived risks that show up as sabotaging behavior that you have struggled to change or shift. A recent engagement with a female-led engineering team in a high growth company doubled revenue and 2x their operating income during our work together during the pandemic you will learn more about during your cohort experience.
